Jenny has been drawing a project, and stuff.

So the summer is almost over ladies and gentleman. It's a thing. Although it's very hot this week, if you are reading this in the future and want a window back into late August 2016. It's been moistened towelette on the forehead oclock in the RobinsGeorge household. I've been working on a few different things this month, but mostly I have been into making and posting fresh 3.52 billion drawings on instagram every day at 12tyish. I don't mean that I have been posting 3.52 billion drawings, I'm pretty sure that's impossible, but that as you'll know if you know me on the gram or indeed any of the other média sociaux, it is a project of me drawing lots of different women coming out of cookie cutters with little sentences under them that tell you something about them or their lives you probably couldn't tell by looking. You get the idea right? It's about diversity and intersectionality and people being awesome and carrying stories around with them the whole time.
It's a thing.
I wrote about how I was probably going to do this back in June, yeah?

The plan is I'm going to eventually make this into a book with comics and stories as well, I've already done two and a half comics. But I'm going to be crazy busy in September, so progress is going to have to halt on that for a little bit. But I would encourage you all to keep an eye on my instagram feed, but here is a really long image with a sample of some of the colourful characters.
I'm also posting them sporadically on the facebook.

In other news I finished my personal sketchbook today that I've had going sinceMay 2012. So that's exciting. I plan to do a video, if I can figure out a way to suspend my phone appropriately strategically.

Also, I painted Julia Scheele.

And there are some exciting new listings and some fresh designyness in my Etsy Shop, I might talk about that another time. Maybe.

Jenny out.

If you are in London this weekend, and fancy having your FACE drawn by me, I will be at 2 events.

I will be at this Alternative Press event in a caravan covered in Bill Murray's face (I don't know why, but sounds sensible to me) with other StoryHands Collective artists on Saturday. It's attached to a music festival but I think you can get into our bit for free.

On Sunday I am going to be drawing vintage style portraits at the Pop Up Vintage Fairs London event in Islington Town Hall. That one does cost money, but I assume will include a lot of darling cupcakes, florals and frills to make up for it.

Here are some alternative Summer Holiday Postcards I did for Pretty Litter Magazine. Because it's been too long since there was a lesbian kiss on this blog. Or feet. Or seagulls.

as yet unused t-shirt design - hooray for summer!

Heylo, i've been meaning to do some blogging all week, about stuff like Paint it Make it, the Illustration Rally event where I drew people for Japan, and posters I've been making for The One Hour Plays, and my new job that I will be starting in September as an Art and English Teacher (strangely - I'm more scared about the art half atm), and other stuff, but I have been too busy being hungover or lazy or busy, or all of the above. So I will just have to do it all when I get back from my lovely holiday I am going on tomorrow.

I am SO ready for this holiday.

So I Shall be radio quiet/of very limited internet access for next week. please direct all enquiries to
Nicholas Bear, who will be minding my bed for me while I am gone. Or, you know, send me an email of something and I'll get back to you when I can.

News:
I'm a big geek and I drew a picture of Neil Gaiman's dog for the Kitty's Neverwear competitiony thing, go vote for me k? i'm not sure if the votes mean much, but it can't hurt. like in the general election. every time the doorbell rings it is more Conservative propoganda.

Also and anyway in other news January's Mailmeart2 gallery is up featuring my contribution at 42 and loads of other awesome stuff, seriously, check it out, i love the variety of stuff that gets sent to this thing, loads of inspirational stylings.

I drew this picture of my mother looking like a cute mole for mothers day. and sent it to her a week late. because i am a bad person.
I think it is quite Shirley Hughesesque, ne'st pas?

I had a birthday. which was nice. I also did a design pitch for a project which was fun, and i will tell you what it is if i get it.

some awesome stuff you might want to check out:
if you ever wondered who did that awesome Ladyhawke cover art, it was Sarah Larnach
I'm a big fan of Anna Botezatu's collages
and Jo Cheung bird pictures (me? likeng birds?) which you can get on cushion covers here. super nice.
Yulia Brodskaya takes quilling to a whole new level.

I'll stop that now or we'll be here all year. sometime I must make a big 'ol links page. altho i did join tumblr the other day, so maybe thats what i should do there.
